// CAMPAIGN REPORTS

The Doctrine in Action.

Three case studies where strategic principles met real competition. Battles fought, lessons learned, doctrine refined.

// CASE STUDY 01

THEATRE: Warhammer 40K — Grand Tournament

FORCES: Astra Militarum — Combined arms: Leman Russ squadron, Basilisk battery, conscript blobs

The GT Circuit Run — Astra Militarum

THE CHALLENGE

GT meta had shifted heavily toward elite infantry with high mobility. The conventional wisdom was that massed conscripts were dead. The Basilisk's indirect fire was labeled 'too slow for modern scoring missions.'

THE BATTLE PLAN

Refused to abandon combined arms doctrine. Rebuilt list around mission scoring, not kill points. Conscript blobs repositioned as objective holders while armor prosecuted fire lanes. Basilisks reoriented to deny enemy movement corridors rather than chase kills.

RESULT

75%+ win rate sustained across the event. Three top-table appearances. Combined arms doctrine vindicated — the fundamentals outlast every meta rotation.

DOCTRINE LESSON

The meta changes. Doctrine doesn't. When everyone abandons a principle because it's 'not meta,' that principle becomes the edge.

// CASE STUDY 02

THEATRE: Madden Ultimate Team — Season 7 Championship

FORCES: Seahawks-themed build, Speed Crystal optimization, 60+ chemistry

The MUT 26 Season 7 Build

THE CHALLENGE

MUT economy in Season 7 collapsed — card prices volatile, meta shifted to speed-heavy builds, panic sellers flooding the market with devalued cards.

THE BATTLE PLAN

Treated it like an intelligence problem, not a roster problem. Monitored price floors for speed crystal components. Identified panic sell windows. Built a coin-flip position on Saquon Barkley crystals at 750k buy-in, exiting on the recovery spike. Reinvested into Miles Garrett with speed crystals — 94 SPD, elite D-stats.

RESULT

10/10 on I Rate Your Teams Weeks 25, 27, and 28. Ferdy: 'king of Madden 26 team building.' Perfect TOTW submission. Season 7 Pro rank maintained.

DOCTRINE LESSON

The market is just another opponent. Read tendencies. Identify panic. Execute when others hesitate. The same pre-snap read that works against a Cover 2 works against a falling market.

// CASE STUDY 03

THEATRE: Total War: Warhammer 3 — Cathay Grand Campaign

FORCES: Cathay — jade economy, Dragon Emperor, Harmony system

The Cathay Campaign — Total War: Warhammer 3

THE CHALLENGE

Cathay's Harmony mechanic requires balancing Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine) unit ratios simultaneously across multiple armies. Standard conquest-first approach collapses the economic base.

THE BATTLE PLAN

Treated Harmony as a logistics constraint, not a mechanic to optimize. Built economy first — four provinces with jade mines, balanced Yin/Yang ratios enforced before any expansion. Military expansion deferred until economic base reached self-sustaining threshold.

RESULT

Self-sustaining jade economy by turn 40. Expansion began from a position of overwhelming resource advantage. By turn 80, three confederated Cathayan factions under Dragon Emperor command.

DOCTRINE LESSON

Economy before expansion. Always. The general who builds from strength wins. The general who expands from weakness just dies further from home.
